It depends on the country you’re sending money to and how fast you need it to get there. However – with the exception of the United States – you typically need:

  • The recipient’s IBAN (International Bank Account Number, made up of a format of 34 numbers and letters)
  • The recipient’s SWIFT/BIC code (the bank’s unique identifier code made up of between 8 and 11 characters)
  • The recipient’s full name (or business name if sending to a company), exactly as shown on their bank account
  • For SWIFT delivery (not including the Eurozone), you’ll need your recipient’s billing address as held by their bank

For the United States, we usually require:

  • The recipient’s full name (or business name if sending to a company), exactly as shown on their bank account
  • The recipient’s address
  • The recipient’s account number
  • The recipient’s ABA (American Banking Association) number
